in Charlotte on Tuesday, March 24 at the Mahlon Adams Pavilion, featuring author and housing advocate Kathy Izard. What Moves Her, a national initiative from Compass International Holdings, supports and connects women across the real estate industry through leadership development, mentorship, and community-focused events.

The event marks the launch of the What Moves Her initiative in the Charlotte market and will bring together women from across the community for a morning centered on leadership, connection, and local impact. Izard, known for her work addressing housing and homelessness, will speak about the role individuals and communities can play in creating meaningful change.

Guests will begin arriving at 10:30 a.m., with the program starting at 11:00 a.m. The morning will also include time for networking, a book signing, light refreshments, and a raffle supporting Roof Above, a local nonprofit working to end homelessness. Moore, broker-owner of North Carolina-based ERA Live Moore, has made a notable impact well beyond the buying and selling of real estate. She has led inclusive homeownership programs, provided disaster relief, and built a thriving business focused on empowerment and service. Her leadership exemplifies the power of women transforming the industry.

The ‘Moved By Her Power’ award, a cornerstone recognition of the What Moves Her movement, honors women who have significantly contributed to the betterment of their communities and the real estate industry. Moore was chosen from over 100 nominees for her resilience, leadership, and commitment to making homeownership more accessible—especially after Hurricane Helene.

She strives to reduce barriers and create diverse programs to help individuals in Raleigh, Asheville, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Western North Carolina achieve their homeownership dreams.

Moore’s compassion for her team also extends to her community. After Hurricane Helene[Facebook] struck in September 2024, she quickly mobilized resources and launched supply drives for food, water, and essential items. Her efforts raised over $75,000 and resulted in more than 1,000 volunteer hours. Her swift action provided critical aid to families in need, reinforcing her role as a leader not just in real estate, but in humanitarian efforts.
