I was born and raised in Black Mountain and the Swannanoa Valley. I met my husband, Kevin, in my Junior year at UNC Asheville. We traveled to the Raleigh area and considered relocating there after college. He was pursuing his field of study at a pharmaceutical manufacturer and I was pursuing broadcasting at the local NBC Affiliate. A life changing accident brought us back home to these beautiful mountains and I'm so happy it did! We married, built our first house from the ground up and found our first investment property quickly after moving in. After that we enthusiastically jumped into real estate investing. We invested in 10 homes in 10 years all while having full time jobs outside of the real estate industry. He worked at Kearfott and I worked at The Real Estate Weekly. We flipped five homes in Black Mountain, all were homes near Lake Tomahawk. We still take pride in improving homes that need care and attention in our area, often improving the ugliest house on the street and turning it into a home for our new excited buyers. The new buyer's excitement was always infectious! We have several long term rentals that we manage. And have build two new construction homes personally. I've come a long way from being the person that drags debris to the dumpster and peels layer after layer of wallpaper of the walls. I've learned so much and made many great contacts in this industry. We have a son who is heading to college. I was fortunate to be able to step away from working outside of the home after he was born. I was able to focus on him-volunteering with his schools, managing our rental homes, and focus on my own health and happiness by being a cycle instructor. I love teaching, motivating and feeding off the energy of others and hope that remains part of my life. My excitement over helping buyers and sellers in our area never wanes. I've learned so much about real estate in the past 25 years and never tire of putting my knowledge to work for buyers and sellers! I love to help, I'm a helper by nature. I will make it a priority to help you with anything I can. i love to have fun and I have a lot of energy and excitement for the things I love in life.
